So Amazing...

the beauty of Monarch butterflies! We've (again) raised some monarch caterpillars and have been having fun watching them grow, turn into chrysalis and then into butterflies. Yesterday we released two and today we released three. The boys have been keeping a journal. Kelsey was mesmerized when she saw the first one fly off yesterday from Robert's hand. I'm not as quick with my camera as I should be. It's a fun/learning activity that Tim and I enjoy just as much (sometimes more) as the kids.

We had a lunch picnic at Presque Isle today with Opa and Aunt Kathy. I made a pork roast into pull-pork sandwiches in the crock pot. I also made a big rectangular sugar cookie and made cream cheese frosting. The kids decorated it into a flag with strawberries and blueberries. While they were doing that, I went to the walk-in clinic...have had a sore throat and feeling kinda crappy. I'm on a 5 day antibiotic and presidone (sp?) so I should be A LOT better in a few days. The boys finished decorating their bikes for the 4th. I HAVE to take photo's of that. They worked hard, and Tim helped. Should be fun.
