Us. Party of Five...

well, we did party as a family and there are five of us!

The snow came and we headed south. South on hwy. 41 to Wisconsin for a couple days at Tundra Lodge. No homework, laundry, cooking, raking, meetings, activities, etc...just some swimming, relaxing, and lots of fun.

We are waterlogged. Is that a word? I think you get the picture. It was cold outside, so we spent much of our time in the indoor waterpark. Even though it was only about 40 degrees outside (and very windy), we really liked going out to the outside hot tub, too. Kelsey really turned the corner in her swimming abilities. She was swimming under water like a fish. Or, as she announced to us, "I swim like a mermaid...like a princess mermaid!" I really don't know where she gets that stuff! But, we agreed each and every time she came up for air and into our arms. So fun to watch her grow.

The boys are all over the place in the waterpark -- waterslide, lazy river, floating cookie walk, play mountain, etc. Oh, and they were very crazy about the arcade room. We visited our favorite Barnes & Noble bookstore which is always fun and the kids picked out a book to buy. And we went to a cool Halloween Costume place just to look & play with some props. Tim and I were cracking up at some of the adult costumes! To top it all off, we stopped for pumpkin shakes from Culvers on the way home. Nice time to reconnect as a family and get-a-way from the daily busyness at home.

All and all -- a fun little get-a-way.

Back now. Happy Monday. Posted by Picasa
