Gerald R. Ford - 38th President
Gerald Ford died on December 26th -- my birthday.
We were in Grand Rapids for Christmas and went downtown to the Gerald R. Ford Museum on December 27th.
Ryan placed flowers near the museum entrance.
We signed our names in the condolence memorial book.
History.
I watched the funeral on t.v. that took place in Washington, DC.
He was a gentleman from Grand Rapids.
He helped heal a nation.
He was respected by so many people.
He was an honest man.
He was a man of faith.
He loved his wife and family.
It was said by someone that he was never known to utter a half or partial truth and never had an unkind word for anyone.
I was ten years old when he became President. I remember it felt safe and good to have him as our President.
As Tim would say..."Mr. President...Journey Well." God Bless.

What a nice tribute. I also liked the fact that Ford always ate dinner with his family - never late for dinner with the family. Every family should live with that rule.
