"Be glad of life
because
it gives you the chance
to love
and to work
and to play
and to look up at the stars."
Henry Van Dyke
Here's to a good week of love, work & play!
The boys are counting down the days left of school until summer vacation. I'm calling about a tutor today for Robert (he's not thrilled one bit!) and I'm putting together a play/work schedule of sorts for the summer. The past couple of summers, I've had the boys make a collage (using magazines & poster board) on all the things they want to do for summer. We will probably do this again, only I'll be (trying very hard) enforcing a three to four time a week educational segment into the summer weeks. We've done reading charts in the past and that has worked well. However, this summer, we'll be adding some math and science to our summer educational goals. Wish me luck.

What a great idea!! Math and Science are fun! Looking forward to seeing you all again soon!
That trampoline looks like great fun!
Too bad you can't bring it with you to GR. We could set it up in Cara and Jose's back yard and do
fun stuff into the pool!

I try to do math, reading and writing with Jessica every day, but, well, what can I say? It usually doesn't happen. The trampoline does look fun, Jessica for sure wants to come up this summer!!

oooo... summer science can be so much fun! I'm sorry I'm not around, I'd offer to do science projects with my cousins!! My Mom always finds the coolest science project books at the Discovery Channel stores or websites that she likes to give my (Goldthorpe) Cousins for Christmas and Birthday gifts.
Sounds like a great plan for summer! Look forward to keeping track of ya'll with the blog!
