Father's Day...

Tim returned home from trout camp and the kids surprised him with streamers and balloons hanging all over the kitchen. They presented him with handmade cards and special picked presents they bought themselves. After the celebration, Tim got busy digging up old gravel/rock by our backdoor and cleaning out the drainage thingy. He dug and hauled and got plenty dirty and sweaty. After dinner, we headed for the soccer field to kick the ball around with some other soccer parents & kids.
It was a great Father's Day and our little family {party of five} enjoyed a day of play, work and celebration.

In the past year, I've noticed more and more greying around Tim's temples. I think he looks more handsome than the day I met him.

This blurry and off-center photo was taken by Robert last fall. (I've noticed we don't have many, if any, photos of just the two of us since our wedding!)

Although it's been almost twelve years, I still miss my dad and hope that he feels/hears my prayers of love and gratefulness.
I'm thankful to have Tim as my husband and father of our three kiddos. I love the man and father he has become. He's many things to me...but most of all a best friend who understands me like no one else could understand me. He's a wonderful father who has his priorities in check. He's grounded. He's solid. He's happy.
I am thankful for Tim's father, Bob. Sadly, I didn't have the chance to meet Tim's father... however, feel like I know him, at least a little, through Tim. I feel especially grateful to him for leaving Tim the wonderful legacy of how to be the man and father he is.
