Fun Weekend...

Ryan balancing on a rock trying to get a snapping turtle to come out from under a smaller rock in the water.

I''m always trying to get a good shot of all three ...sun was shining in their eyes and they did not want to take their attention away from the tadpoles. Not quite the Christmas card shot I had in mind.

Robert getting as much sand as he can on his body.

This one....she bubbles with enthusiasm with just about any new adventure!

We started out the day with a trip to the Farmer's Market and then we all went strawberry picking and worked up quite an appetite. We had a nice picnic on our patio (Aunt Sara gave me her recipe for an awesome sandwich and it was a big hit!). Afterwards we went for a hike along our favorite beach area and the kids played for hours (seemed like several hours anyway...and they still didn't want to leave) near the rocks catching tadpoles and frogs and making rivers run through the sand.
Later, Tim and I made several containers of jam and froze 6 gallons of fresh strawberries.
I made a point NOT to wear my watch on this day.
In the evening, Tim and the kids watched the Spiderwick Chronicles. They loved it!

Today after church the boys had friends over and Tim made homemade ice cream with them. While Robert went to his friend George's house for dinner, Tim and Ryan went to our milkweed spot and found some Monarch caterpillars. We love watching them grow, turn into chrysalises and then beautiful butterflies.
Whoaaa...I'm ready for Monday. You can only pack so much fun in one weekend.

Hope you had a fun weekend filled with many blessings.
