Sledding...

I took the kids and one of their friends for a little sledding yesterday afternoon. It was a bit cold with the wind, but it didn't matter one bit to these four kids! Kelsey on the last run lost her mittens as she fell off the back of Ryan's sled and was dragged about 25 feet or so. One mitten was on the hill and the other mitten was frozen to the rope on the sled. Then she started crying. She said she thought she might have frost bite. Until that last run, I couldn't talk her into getting into the van to warm up or even change her mittens (I had another dry/warm pair in the van.) She kept right up with the boys as they tore up the hill!

It was our first sledding of the winter and won't be our last.

Hope you are all having a nice and relaxing holiday.
Oh...and staying warm.
