Today we took the kids bowling. Lots of fun. My pictures turned out mostly blurry (insert sad face) but I'm experimenting with my camera and photography and they say that before you get better, you'll get worse. For me, that is certainly true.
We ran into quite a few people we knew at the bowling alley...including my brother Greg, Patty and her boys. We weren't the only ones thinking about getting out of the house, but doing something fun and warm.
The kids had another day off of school because of below freezing temperatures on Friday. Ryan and Kelsey made peanut butter cookies.
On Wednesday morning I went to Target and I saw that they had the new latest Diary of a Wimpy Kid book out on the shelf. Ryan has been waiting. I almost pre-ordered it from Amazon, but took my chances I could get it at Target. I gave it to him Wednesday after school and he had it finished Thursday night (he stayed up way too late---but it turned out ok, because of school being called off on Friday.) He and Robert love these books. Ryan devours them and he reads them over and over.
Hope you're having a great weekend and staying warm. Tim popped popcorn for the kids and they are watching Horton Hears a Who. Tim rented the first season of 24 for us to watch when the kids go to bed. I've never seen that show before, but have a feeling it's one I will enjoy.
What are you doing to stay warm?
(Ok...my niece Megan in California and my niece Amy in Hawaii...you don't have to answer that. You could still let me know how/what you are doing, though...I'd love that!)
