how blessed I am and how beautiful my kids are. And, I know, every parent thinks that about their own. Sometimes I take a shot (my new camera inspires me to practice more) and I just stare at it, taking in every detail of each freckle (Ryan now has a few on his nose), every eyelash, the shape and slope of their little noses, the light dancing in the eyes...searching for clues of the teenage face, the adult face, soaking up the details, memorizing each one. (This photo is one of the first ones taken with my new camera right before Christmas--they were sitting under the tree after helping to decorate it.)
I know, I know, just going through and sorting through a bunch of photo's on the computer and organizing them and ordering some for scrapbooking. I know when I was going up in the chairlift with each of the boys last week when we went skiing, I kept doing the same thing, but didn't have a camera. Am I crazy...Wow, I just want to memorize everything about the way they look, the enthusiasm, their innocence, their sweetness and even those not-so-sweet moments. Just feeling especially blessed ... spring break has been lots of fun and a great time to not only have fun swimming with them, playing board games, etc., etc., but to reconnect with my boys. I needed that.
