and then run like h_ _ _ when your mom comes after you with a camera in her hands! You may have guessed, but these photo's of Kelsey were taken at Christmas time when we were in Grand Rapids. They were taken when we visited Meijer Gardens. I LOVE that place! So beautiful and so alive with gorgeous green plants, trees, flowers, sculptures, etc. It's a place that I LOVE to visit. I know my Mom (and Dad) would of really enjoyed it. I feel so warm/inspired after a visit there. When I need a little "pick-me-up" ...Especially these "end of winter--almost gonna be spring" days, I love to look at the photo's I've taken there on my visits. They have a wonderful Children's Garden open in the summer complete with very cool hands-on displays.
Can't wait to plant new flowers and to see what perennials come up in our garden this summer. Also, can't wait to see what "spring" flowers bring me this year. I vaguely remember planting a HUGE bag of tulips last fall in front of the house. Usually the first spring sign is the "pop" of a purple crocus underneath our flowering crab tree in front. Can't wait. We'll see.
Had a very nice visit with my Mom and sisters on Saturday. Friday was a bust, because I had car troubles...All good now. My sister, Linda, is doing much better and is scheduled to have hip surgery in a month. My sister, Sue, brought her granddaughter, Emma, and she is such a cutie. The nursing home had some live music and I think Mom really enjoyed that. I'll post some photo's later.
Well, I have to go and pick up Robert from school and hurry up and figure out something for dinner. Wish I had an EASY button for that one...You know that EASY Red Button from some commercial? Anyway, remember to take time to smell the flowers...Spring is on it's way...Happy Tuesday!
