(Daddy & Ryan -- March 12, 2006)

God has not promised us an easy route.

There will be trials and tragedies as well as triumphs and great

miracles.

But in the midst of the journey, what he has promised,

is to be there

to guide

or carry

or follow...

Busy day here. Just got back from helping out in Robert's classroom and took some photos of 3rd grade music class and some misc. others for the yearbook. It is sunny and warm outside. I checked in on Ryan's class and there is a little girl in his class, Kiersten, who is "sweet" on Ryan. So cute to see those kindergarteners "ham" it up when I have my camera! Talked a little bit with Robert's speech teacher (Mrs. Johnson) and she said he is making slow, but steady progress with phonemic awareness. She is a warm, nice woman and thinks a lot of Robert. She is always saying how caring and compassionate he is. I am so grateful for the excellent teachers both boys have at their school. They are so dedicated and caring and don't miss a chance to point out the strengths/gifts of the kids...that I believe is the most important thing they can do while guiding our children for success in the classroom (and beyond.) We have parent/teacher conferences tonight. Actually, Ryan's teacher (Mrs. Hetrick) is having an hour long conference and Ryan is included--should be fun!
