The entire exhibit is so colorful and sooooo beautiful. I wish I would of taken more photos, but Tim and I were chasing after Kelsey and on the night of the "artist reception" there were sooooo many parents and kids. I meant to get over to the gallery again, without Kelsey, but didn't make it. Oh well. Love all the exhibits they have. The next one is U.P. artists and I'm excited to see that one. Ryan LOVES to visit the gallery and that is usually his "date" with Aunt Kathy Peters. They do lunch afterwards on campus and discuss all the different pieces. Of course, there are times when some of the art pieces (exhibits) aren't appropriate for children, so we have to watch that sometimes. I think it was Robert's class this year that had a field trip scheduled and then it was cancelled because of the content of some pieces. Oh, for the love of Art! So glad we have such a beautiful gallery so close. The old gallery on campus prior to this new one was quite nice, but I seldom went. It was in an older building on campus and was dark and dreary. The Devos Art Gallery is very spacious with lots and lots of natural light!

This weekend Tim is out of town, the kids and I went out to lunch (Culvers) and then went to Jilberts for ice cream. Following running around and eating our ice cream (the kids ran around), we went to the beauty shop to have Kelsey's hair trimmed. She now has bangs! Quite cute and I'm bummed I didn't have a camera. She sat on my lap, so I guess that would be hard to capture anyway. I'll post photos soon of her new haircut.
Yesterday we were in a minor car accident right by the house. A guy went right through a STOP sign and I hit him (hit mostly his back wheel/fender). Thank goodness it was minor and no one was hurt! The kid was up from Saginaw, just for the day, to take a look around at NMU and the Chemistry dept. I couldn't help but feel a little sorry for him. If a few seconds difference, it could of been very bad--he may of broadsided us (my and Kelsey's side of car) or if I would of hit him sooner (before I hit the brakes)----oh, it just makes you wonder...anyway, we are all fine. We ALL are precious cargo and can't take life for granted.
I spoke to Aunt Sue Z. last night (and Aunt Laurie) and Sue says she is feeling fine. We are all relieved and thankful that her surgery went fine and that she is "good as new!" She had a stent put in (heart). Just had a little tightness in her chest and mentioned it to her doctor. So glad she did! Very active woman---can't slow her down, so I'm glad she's better.
It rained here very hard about an hour ago, but now the sun is out and the rain completely stopped. The kids are glued to a movie on television, but I feel like walking to the park. We'll see. Just thought I'd post the work of my little artists! Tomorrow I help out at the daycare at church and then we get to pick up our pottery we painted on Mother's Day. Then we have a birthday bowling party. Wooooaaaaaa....should be a fun day. Hope you are all having a great weekend.
