My leg is doing fine. I can't do any heavy lifting or high impact workouts (dang!) for a week. Glad the weather is a little cooler. We are beginning to think about school and all the things to do to get ready.
It's been one of those days...I am up early and I've started to dig through my "stuff" --journals, photos, etc. My hope is to make little books for the kids (like scrapbooks) with quotes, etc. and I've also started a list of "Things I've Learned That I Want You To Know" --I'll place in some kind of book or scrapbook page for the kids. Here they are:
-There is beauty everywhere.
-Everyone has good qualities, even if they are hard to see.
-You have to be able to forgive and not hold grudges if you want to live your life happy and free.
-It's important to have a thankful and grateful heart. And to show others your love and appreciation for them.
-Little things don't go unnoticed.
-Always try to put others feelings first before your own. Be compassionate. Try to understand.
-Try not to assume. Most times if you do, you'll be wrong.
-Don't dwell on past hurts. Move forward, and vow to make your life happier.
-Don't think too much about how others think of you. They often think they know you, when they don't. Be happy in your own skin.
-Remember that you can do anything you want to do in your life. Anything.
-Surround yourself with people that accept you, for YOU. Period.
-Live your life showing love, real love.
When I'm having one of those days...feeling kinda gloomy...I remind myself of these things (and more)...seems to help.
