Robert's second grade class planted tulip bulbs yesterday and I helped. As you can see, I forgot to get some of the kids actually doing the planting. I was helping them in groups of four or five and by the time I realized I had brought my camera, we were all done with the work. These photos are of Robert's teacher talking and discussing with the kids about what we did and what to expect. We helped the kids measure and weigh their bulbs and then it was time to plant. They have a booklet that they each made with pictures and measurements and they will use it in the spring to keep track of their tulip they planted. A great science project and one that I had fun helping with. Kelsey was running around the playground mostly when the planting was going on, then she played independently with some toys while I helped the kids in the classroom.
Hope you're having a fun weekend.
