had a nice and relaxing weekend away. Visited friends, Ann and Kathy. We shopped, laughed, drank, ate and just had a nice time. Big news was that I was actually carrying a purse rather than a diaper bag. For the past several years I've used this Lands End 'lil tripper diaper/purse bag. Ann and Kathy were impressed that I actually had a regular purse on this weekend get-a-way without kids! It was also my first time to be away for two nights in a row!
Another reason to celebrate was that Ann finished nursing school (new career) and is now working full-time as an O.R. nurse!! It was so nice to catch up with both her and Kathy. I also got a chance to see Kathy's family and to see her remodeled kitchen. Jim and the kids are doing great and her kitchen looks awesome. (wish I would of had my camera!)
I visited a new store in Appleton -- Archiver's-- LOVED it. Could of spent so much time and money there. Checked out sales at Pottery Barn, Macy's and Gymboree. Archivers and Gymboree were the only two I dropped some bucks. I drove Tim's car to Wisconsin and he has Satellite XM radio. I listened to Oprah & Friends all the way there and all the way back...Dr. Robin, Gayle, Nate, Bob Greene, Jean Chatszky, Dr. Oz, Maya Angelou, & Oprah herself. So, not only do I feel refreshed, but inspired to get on with 2007 with new goals and a grateful heart!
