Glitter Lip Gloss...

where do I even start. This 'child of mine' definitely keeps me on my toes. Since returning from our G.R. vacation, she's had a couple of days running a fever and that seems to be better now. She is still quite tired, cranky, and whiny. While the boys were at tennis camp yesterday morning, I had to make a quick run to the store for a few groceries and sundries. I knew I had to make it quick, because little miss Cranky would probably make it difficult.
We made it almost through my short list and she saw this Barbie bag with various lip glosses, mirror and comb. She REALLY wanted it. I totally gave in...I just wanted to get my list done and we were out of there. It worked and she was happy, happy, happy for the next five minutes.
Later when we were home, I was talking on the phone with Ann. As I was talking on the phone, and explaining Kelsey's recent undesirable mood, behavior, etc., and my corresponding undesirable mood, I witness this. Oh yah, she was going to town with the glitter lip gloss!

It was making her totally happy. She didn't care that only five minutes earlier she was cranky and whining about something and anything...she now had glitter lip glossed lips!!! There was some purple/pinky gooey gloss in a little case and she was strategically placing that on her cheeks too.

Just goes to show you, makeup can make a girl feel better...and with Glitter Lip Gloss, the whole world seems brighter. I know that Kelsey and I both were in need of a mood enhancer. Laughing and a little "glisten & glow" can go a long way. I know it made me laugh (accounting for the poor photo quality) and turn my mood around. If only for five minutes.

you glow,
you shine,

the GOOD things
in the world.

Glad Kelsey wasn't sick while in GR, also glad she's feeling better. It is amazing what a tube of lip stick can do!!
