Happy 4th of July...

Traditions continue as the boys decorate their bikes and take part in the bike decorating/rodeo contest this fourth of July. Ryan's bike was a red rocket and Robert's bike was a big match stick. The idea was that during the competition, Robert would chase Ryan around the arena! However, they were in different age-groupings (5-7) (8-10), so they didn't get a chance to do that during the competition, but they still each won ribbons! Robert received a first place and Ryan received a third place.

We continue the next tradition of having a picnic with friends from our church and then watching the Marquette parade. One of Kelsey's very favorite each year is Sparky the Fire dog! She gets so excited whenever she get's to see him. (She's gonna love Disney World!)
After the parade, the kids cooled off playing in the pool with our Rotary friends and their children. Tim was in full swing helping to prepare and cook a pig (sorry, don't have a photo of that!) I have to say, it was delicious. Tired today...but we had a wonderful fourth. Hope you did, too!

Tonight a trip to lower harbor for the International Food Festival for food/music and then watch the fireworks.
