Good Boy...

Another heart-breaking goodbye. The cancer got the best of Mason and we had to say good bye last Thursday. It has only been a month since we had to put Molly down, and then Mason got sick. We all felt so robbed. We really wanted at least another summer/fall to take him swimming, play catch, hike in the woods, etc. He was such a fun loving dog. We miss him so much.
Our Mason boy--we love you and miss you.

This past year or more, Robert's main household chore was to feed the dogs and make sure they got outside when needed. He took his job very seriously. He (like us) loved those dogs so much.

Kelsey spent so much time with Molly & Mason. She used to pretend she was the doggy doctor and always checking their vitals, she loved playing dress up and pretending they would come to her tea parties. She would put blankets over them & surround them with her dolls and stuffed animals, place hats and crowns on them, etc...it was so much fun watching the fun she had with both Molly & Mason.

Many times in the wee hours of the morning when I would get up early to come downstairs to have quiet time and spend a little time on the computer by myself, Molly would also come down and sit right by my chair keeping me company. If any of the kids would come downstairs they would curl up with her right on the floor. The kids have always known having Molly & Mason around and always knew they had a loving (furry) friend to count on. We all will miss them. I've been going through the many, many pictures I have of them....from puppy photos, lots of beach photos, fall photos of nature hikes, snow photos...tons of photos of the kids with Molly & Mason close by.

They each had their own bed, however, more often than not-- and especially the past 6 months or so --they slept together in Molly's bed in our bedroom. I like to think they are together again across the bridge in doggy heaven. We are so grateful to the many years of love and companionship they provided us.

Don't touch the previous comment.

Mason & Molly were such nobel and gentle dogs. I remember on a couple of occasions the Glover Family stopping at Grandma Jack's on their way to Grandma Glover's.
The boys & dogs would always get firm instructions to stay out of the river from their Dad. The final 6 hour leg of the trip usually included the smell of wet dogs. Molly & Mason were very lucky dogs to have been loved by your family.
I love you guys. Uncle Bob

I was so sorry to hear of Mason's journey to the bridge. My heart goes out to your family in this very sad time.
I feel blessed that you had two of my pup stars in your family. I know you loved them as much as I did and this is what a breeder wishes for her puppies.
Thank you for all you did through Molly and Mason's lives. They both looked so loved and so happy.
Hugs,
Gay
