Looking Out My Window...

This is what I see this morning. Snow falling. I could get all grumpy about it...but, in the scope of things happening around us in this world...it's just snow. Although, just when I was beginning to think about flying kites, capri pants, sandals, sidewalk chalk....I'm just hoping it doesn't stay too long.

This is the sight I see on my living room couch. Kelsey cuddled with a blanket watching cartoons. She was asking me to pleeeeease bring her some animal crackers.

On my counter top this is what I see. Amongst the piles of school papers from Robert & Ryan's school folders, I found this little writing assignment that Robert did yesterday at school. Although, I see the errors...I also see the trying and the caring. On the top line of his four-leaf clover wish, is a sentence that reads..."I wish my friend Dusten got better." Dusten is a 8-year old boy from Robert's class who is dealing with a recurrence with leukemia. We have all been deeply affected by the news. Especially Robert.

What I see, is not so much a boy who struggles with academics at times...but a boy who is truly gifted in a lot of areas. And, the most important area ...his heart.
