Happy Memorial Day Weekend...

The boys and I got the soil ready and planted some annuals in our rock gardens. The kids are in charge of one and I'm in charge of the other. Tim, Kelsey and I went and picked out the flowers this morning at the nursery. Surprisingly, it wasn't very busy. I think people are just waiting for it to warm up to plant annuals. I have to do my pots yet, but I am going to get the soil and get everything ready, maybe this weekend yet. I love vinca vine hanging from my baskets on the porch, so I have to do that yet, too. It was very hard for Kelsey to NOT dig in the dirt. I tried to give her little jobs to keep her busy and distracted from what the boys and I were doing. A Popsicle always helps!

Robert & Ryan had their school "Spring Sing" concert on Friday. Before each singing part of the program (there were two programs) the beginning strings performed. Robert seemed to be so comfortable and really enjoyed performing. They have come a long way. They sounded great!

Today Tim and I are celebrating 11 years of marriage. No fancy dinner, no shiny new jewelry, no new hunting rifle, no fancy schmazy anything...however, grilled burgers on the grill, being outside planting in the gardens, hanging up the 'ole porch swing which Tim bought me for our first wedding anniversary, and just being and doing things together as a family...that and root beer floats...doesn't get much better than that. Happy Anniversary to us!

I wanted to hear Robert play his violin. The weekend went by and it didn't happen, darn!
Happy anniversary! I remember that fun wedding - Grandpa Eddie dancing with his new granddaughter- in-law - We could tell he was happy about this union.

Oh - Eric was kind of buzzed at your wedding and no one knew! He snuck the "good stuff." I just remember how CRAZY he was on the dance floor!
I also remember Grandpa cutin' rug!
