P-E-O-N-I-E-S...

OK, funny story. Memorial Day weekend, we had Lew & Kathy Peters and our neighbor Nick, over for dinner outside on our backyard patio. We were talking about our garden and the flowers that were blooming...some from years past and some from just a year ago. For the first time, we have peonies. We are not sure if these were transplanted and given to us from brother Bob (2 years ago) or if they were ones that were given to us from Aunt Sara transplanted from Grandpa Z's (5 years ago or so). Anyway, Tim and I are just thrilled to finally have big buds and we were commenting on them with our guests on Memorial Day. At some point during our dinner conversation, "Opa" (Lew Peters) asked Tim if we had black ants on our peonies. Tim responded that he indeed had black ants on his peonies and then went on to say that he remembered Grandpa Z. having black ants on his also, and they were talking about how important that is. Ok, fast forward to later that evening when we were getting the kids all ready for bed and Tim was tucking Robert in. Robert asked Tim, "Dad, why do you have black ants on your wiener?" Tim responded, "what do you mean, black ants on my wiener?" And, Robert said that he overheard Tim and Opa talking about having black ants on their penis. Even Grandpa Z. had them. Well, Tim and I laughed so hard, and tried to maintain our composure as we explained to him that they were talking about black ants on our peonies--which are flowers. Boy, we thought he must of been pondering that conversation all evening and wondering about it for a long time.

So, anyway, we did and still have black ants on our peonies and they are beautiful!!! Have a great Monday.
