on Monday when we did some watercolor painting. The kids were interested for a very short time and then just wanted to climb out to the rocks and play. I had one of those paint with water coloring books for Kelsey and she loved doing that.













We actually have been to the beach three times this week. Yesterday we packed a lunch and rode our bikes. The boys and I each had our backpacks full of towels, lotion and lunch. It was perfectly sunny, warm with a nice breeze. This morning we biked down to picnic rocks to play in the park. The boys are such good bikers and are very careful when we need to cross the street and watch for other pedestrians/bikers on the bike path. I've been giving them a lesson on trying to stay on the right side of the path, just like when driving a car.

I'll be jumping in the shower in a few minutes to get ready for my "date" with Tim. I have a babysitter coming at 4:45 p.m. and I'm meeting Tim on the patio of the Shamrock bar downtown. YAHHHHHHH for Friday Happy Hour!! We went last week and met up with friends, and well, let's just say, we are going to try and keep this up each week or at least every other week. Last summer, we went kayaking on our date nights and then had dinner (and believe me, after kayaking around Little Presque Isle, you have a GREAT appetite!) So far, this summer, it's Happy Hour on the patio at Shamrock, but that's ok by me. After keeping these kids busy all week, I need a break! Oh, and if you think I forgot the kids, NO.....they are currently on the front porch eating crackers, cheese & popsicles, jumping around in the sprinkler. They are having their very own little Happy Hour.
