yesterday I was sick...so sick in fact, Tim had to come home early from work to take care of the kiddo's. Today I'm feeling better and I was showing the boys this morning on the calendar...tomorrow is December 1st! What happened to November? So, I've been scrambling to find and gather all the kids Christmas books to wrap up so they can be placed in a basket. Starting tomorrow night, they'll take turns picking a "book present" for us to read. They don't have to be Christmasy, they can be about snow and winter. Three of my favorites are "If you Take a Mouse to the Movies," "Gingerbread Baby," & "The Mitten." And of course I always keep my very favorites for Christmas Eve..."The Story of Christmas," "The Crippled Lamb," and "The Small One." As you can see my "ragga-muffin" Kelsey was right in there helping me!
The last two photos are of Robert & Ryan's Christmas tree they bought for their room. In case you can't see (old camera-bad photos) it is a blue tinsel tree with blue lights. They have a few homemade ornaments. Ryan made the ones shown and on the other side, Robert has a little army guy and some old camp indian necklace that used to be Tims and a beaded snowflake. They love their little tree. They love the sparkly blue night light.
I think I'm feeling well enough to get out of my jammies and head out. Hayrides and Santa tonight at the University. We'll see. Hope you're having a great week.
