Ordinary...

Photographs...so glad I take lots of them.

My brother, Stephen, last night told me that he had been reading my blog and that he enjoys it. He told me that my kids are lucky because they have a mom who likes to take lots of pictures. He said we (meaning, us and the rest of my siblings) were lucky to have a Dad who liked to take pictures. And, I thought, yah...we were so lucky. Pure unconditional love. Through laughter, tears, good times and bad...we always had extraordinary love and acceptance. And my Dad snapping away with a camera.

Ordinary photographs...it seems like I take so many seemingly, unimportant snapshots of my kids. To me there is no such thing as ordinary when it comes to my kids. They make my life extraordinary just by being themselves - no matter the moment. Thinking about that and looking at the many, many photographs my brothers and sisters put together to view (slideshow) on Saturday and the wonderful photo boards at the funeral, I am quite sure my parents felt the same way. At times when you think life is just ordinary...it's really much more than that.

Life.
Extraordinary.
Gift.
Cherish.

Trying to get back to "normalcy" around here.
My Mom's funeral/burial ceremony were beautiful.
A big thank you to my siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and many others who have helped every step of the way. I am very grateful.
