when we were in Grand Rapids over the Christmas holiday, I took the kids to see this new movie and it was "TERRIFIC." The kids loved it and I loved it. It is a MUST see. I really enjoyed the soundtrack, too. The movie was not only cute/sweet, but there was just enough narrative in this movie to showcase the beauty of language and the importance of words like "terrific" and "humble." If you loved the book, you'll love this new movie. {Gosh, I sound like a movie critic...I don't get any revenues, promise!}
Grandma Glover bought the kids the book and I read it aloud to the boys. Last night I finished reading the last chapter...I cried like a baby! Weird, I didn't cry at the movie...ok, maybe a little. Anyway, just one of those books I remember reading or having read to me in about third or fourth grade. A classic story of loyalty, trust and sacrifice.
On another note...I am so glad it's February. January was hard. February is the month of valentines, chocolate and love...so how bad could it be? I even made it to the gym this morning. Things are looking up. Have a great Thursday!
