Christmas Eve/Kelsey's Birthday...

Kelsey had a nice birthday. It was just us, but she loved the cupcake tree with the cupcakes I made (pink & purple frosting, of course!) and she assembled the tree stand and placed all the candles--insisting that we have the whole package and not just four! In the afternoon, Tim took the kids skiing and I enjoyed getting some things ready for dinner and taking my time getting ready for church. After they got home and before we went to mass, Kelsey opened her gift of a new dress, leggings and fleece crocs from us. Our babysitter, Emma, gave her a new crown, wand and earrings. Of course, this is what she wore to Christmas Eve mass. Everyone knew it was her birthday!
When we got home from church, Tim and I made a surf & turf dinner...a special Christmas Eve/Kelsey Birthday dinner! Tim grilled the steaks and boiled the lobster tails---Yummm!

Christmas eve night, Robert & Kelsey sprinkled reindeer food in the front of the house. The next day, they were surprised to see that the reindeer ate almost all of it and even some of the berries off our tree in the front yard! The boys received homemade mittens made from the beavers they trapped last winter. Kelsey loved her new dress-up costume and microphone. She also loved playing with her new magnetic princess and her Baby Alive Giggle Wiggle doll. I had to hide the rest of the little diapers because that baby was peeing way too much! We had so much fun playing with the Wii. I really enjoyed the tennis and bowling best. The boys are really into the Star Wars Lego game. Kelsey helped me make hot cocoa floats. We ended the evening by piling into the van (boys & Kelsey still in their p.j.'s) and driving around looking at some of the Christmas lights. When we came home, we snuggled on the couch, enjoyed a dish of ice cream, and watched more Little House on the Prairie. All and all keeping the "reason for the season" in our hearts.
Fun. Magical. Sweet. Reflective. Memorable. Blessed. Very Merry.
