December 27...

The kids and I took a ride to my Mom & Dad's home. My brother from downstate was staying there for the Christmas break. Some of my other siblings live close by, so we got together (7 out of 9) and had a little gathering. The house is right on a river with a wrap-around deck. I used to love going home on weekends and holidays (especially in the winter) and sit in the living room and watch all the birds & squirrels. Many times ducks in the river. It is really beautiful there.

Lots of "good feelings" and memories in that house. I know Mom and Dad would of been so proud and happy of the laughter going on. Lots of laughter. Humor that only a Jack sibling could probably understand. It felt so good.

Where we love is home,

HOME that the feet may

leave, but not our hearts.
