a new member of our family.

Just got back from downstate yesterday. The boys spent two weeks and had a great time. We are grateful to wonderful family who took care of them and showed them a good time while visiting Grandma G. Tim, myself and Kelsey traveled down last week and on Thursday we all went and picked up our new puppy. She is adjusting to our family perfectly. She seems quite calm for a puppy so far. The kids can't seem to get quite enough of her. We are training them just as much as training her! It feels good to have a dog in the house again. I'm happy that Robert, Ryan & Kelsey are getting the full "puppy" experience. They are at good ages to dole out responsibilities.

Today we enjoyed a pool party at friends. Our last summer fling before school tomorrow. The boys and I put supplies together in their backpacks and labeled new lunch boxes. We sat on the patio and had ice cream tonight and talked about a little bit of everything. Bittersweet for me. OK, enough rambling....I gotta get those kids in bed and make lunches!
